Ryan has played the acoustic guitar since the age of 9, when he found his mothers Yamaha in the back of the coat closet. Through lessons, jam sessions and late night campfire picking, Ryan honed his skills over the years.

 In 2023, he began performing professionally, after medically retiring from a career in law enforcement with PTSD. Since then, he has performed at venues all around the Midwest , with the majority of those performances occurring along the upper Mississippi River valley.

Ryan performs 3-4 nights a week, weaving a tapestry of originals and cover tunes spanning 70 years of music at Restaurants, Wineries, Beweries, Bars, Festivals, Care Centers and a wide array of private events.
